The 8-Day Cairo Alexandria Tour Package is a comprehensive itinerary you would like. Enjoy a spiritual day tour of Cairo’s Islamic and Coptic sites, including the Saladin Citadel, Alabaster Mosque, and Ibn Tulun Mosque. Visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities to see the Tutankhamun collection and explore the Great Pyramids and Sphinx.

An evening Nile cruise is available. In Alexandria, visit the Alexandria Library, the Lighthouse Site, and St. Mark’s Church. Enjoy the royal palaces and beaches, and walk through the city centre built by Alexander the Great.

Day 1: Arrival in Cairo

Upon arrival at Cairo airport, a sign-bearing representative from Landious Travel will eagerly await to greet you. You will then be comfortably transported to your hotel in a well-conditioned car. We hope you have a pleasant overnight stay in Cairo.

Day 2: Islamic Cairo Tour

Your day will begin with a delightful breakfast. A knowledgeable guide will pick you up from your hotel to take you on a spiritual day tour of Cairo’s Islamic and Coptic sites.

You will start by visiting the Saladin Citadel, where you’ll see the Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque and the Al Gawhara Palace, built by Mamluks and Ottomans. You’ll then have the opportunity to visit the beautiful Sultam Hassan and El-Refaie Mosques. Finally, you’ll proceed to the Ibn Tulun Mosque and the Museum of Gair Anderson. Your overnight stay will be in Cairo.

Day 3: Cairo Pyramids Tour

To make the most of your day, start with a delicious breakfast. Then, head to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities to see an incredible collection of 5,000 years of art. It’s the most extensive and most valuable collection of Egyptian art in the world, boasting over 250,000 genuine artefacts.

Be sure to explore the exhibit dedicated to the Tutankhamun collection of treasures. Discoveries were enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before its discovery in the 1920s.

After the museum, don’t miss the chance to visit the Great Pyramids, including Cheops, Chephren & Mykerions. Cheops is the colossal pyramid ever built, while the Sphinx is a massive funeral complex protected by the legendary lion body with the face of King Chephren.

If you’re interested, an evening trip is available for a two-hour Nile cruise to enjoy dinner and watch Egyptian folk shows. We will transfer you safely back to your hotel.

Day 4: Azhar and Islamic Sites

After enjoying a hearty breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your hotel to begin your tour. Your first stop is El Azhar, the esteemed first Islamic University. Next, you’ll visit Al Mouayyed Mosque, Bab Zuweila, which was built under the watchful eye of Badr Al Dein Al Gamal. After that, you’ll cross the road to Al Hussein Mosque and continue to Beit El Sehimy, a one-of-a-kind Islamic house.

The tour then proceeds to Al Hakam Mosque, one of the renowned Fatimide Mosques. It ends with a visit to Bab al Fetouh and Bab Al Nasr, constructed under Gawhar El Sakaly’s supervision.

Once the tour is complete, you may enjoy shopping before returning to your hotel for the night. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 5: Cairo Food Tour

To truly experience Egypt, it will be preferable to savour its delicious cuisine. Egyptian food is one of life’s greatest pleasures. And the best way to discover it is by venturing off the beaten path to hidden gems that aren’t found in guidebooks.

Day 6: Alexandria Tour

Your tour to Alexandria will begin with your guide picking you up from your hotel. The first stop will be the famous Alexandria Library, the largest in the world with 8 million books. You can explore the library’s open court and its free museums. Please be aware that the library is closed on Fridays and public holidays. To access the reading area, you must purchase an extra ticket.

After the library, the tour will continue to the Site of the Lighthouse, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, which now houses the castle of Qaitbey. You will also visit the royal gardens of King Farouk, including the royal palaces of Haramlek and Salamlek, as well as the royal beaches of the queens.

The next stop will be the beautiful and significant Abbo Elabbas Mosque, followed by the memorial of the Unknown Soldier of Alexandria and the statue of Alexander the Great.

You can stop for lunch before proceeding to the oldest African church, St. Mark’s Church. From there, you can take a 30 km drive along the Cornish to see Alexandria from the sea, including the old harbour where 7000 monuments were found underwater. You can also take a break at the famous Stanley Bridge, the modern Alexandria landmark.

Finally, you can visit the old downtown of Alexandria and walk through the city centre built by Alexander the Great. You will then be comfortably transported back to your hotel.

If you have more time and wish to explore more of Alexandria’s attractions, please let us know, and we will arrange it. Alexandria has much to offer, from its sights to food and shopping. You will be spending the night in Alexandria.

Day 6: Alexandria free day

For breakfast, you have a free day ahead of you. Some optional activities are available, and one is experiencing Alexandria by night. You will be spending the night in Alexandria.

Day 7: Back to Cairo

You can enjoy a free day and participate in some exciting activities for the day ahead. You can opt for the Memphis & Sakkara Tour or explore the Castle of Salah El Din, Mohamed Aly Mosque & Old Cairo Tour. You can attend the Sound & Light show in the Pyramids area in the evening. Afterwards, you can comfortably settle in and rest for the night in Cairo.

Day 8: Departure

Following breakfast at the hotel, our representative will kindly escort you to the airport and offer their assistance throughout the final departure formalities.
